1. Aceable Agent
Best Online Real Estate School in North Carolina
Out of all the options currently available, students in North Carolina will have the best experience choosing Aceable Agent over any other online real estate school. They offer video and audio content, thousands of practice questions, and easy access to experts who can provide more help if you need it.
Pros:
Audio Lectures
Although relatively simple to add to a course library that already contains video content, audio-only lectures are rare among online real estate courses. Thanks to Aceable Agent’s inclusion of audio content, you can easily study with this course while doing chores around the house, exercising, or commuting.
Personalized Instruction
Aside from the large library of practice content included with Aceable Agent, you also have the option to reach out to instructors via email if you need help on specific concepts or topics. This eliminates one of the biggest drawbacks to online learning, since it means you can still raise your hand to ask the teacher a question!
Live Content
Students who enroll in Aceable’s Premium package can access live webinars every weekday. These seminars cover many different topics related to real estate in North Carolina and the rest of the country; feel free to drop in on a live session or look through an extensive library of recorded livestreams from the past.
Cons:
Limited Basic Package
Although it’s the most affordable package currently available for students, Aceable’s Basic real estate package is a tough sell. Paying a little extra for the Deluxe or Premium course is recommended since it includes five times the number of practice questions and several additional features that can be very helpful preparing you for your future career.
2. The CE Shop
Second Best Online Real Estate School In North Carolina
Although not quite the best option currently available for North Carolina real estate agents, one of the best overall choices is The CE Shop. There are many reasons for this and I outline these reasons below.
Pros:
The Complete North Carolina Approved Curriculum
The CE Shop’s North Carolina pre-licensing course is the complete 75 hours of mandatory curriculum required by the North Carolina Real Estate Commission. You will get everything you need to learn to pass the North Carolina real estate license exam to become a Provisional Broker.
Extensive North Carolina Exam Prep
The CE Shop always has in-depth exam prep and their North Carolina pre-license course is no exception. You will get extensive North Carolina exam prep to make sure you’re ready to take the North Carolina license exam.
Real North Carolina Instructor Webinars
One of the great things about The CE Shop and they’re North Carolina pre-licensing course is that you will get direct access to real North Carolina instructors via live webinars. This will allow you to get answers to your questions as you prepare to take the North Carolina state exam.
Four North Carolina Package Options
This North Carolina real estate school has some of the best package options for a North Carolina pre-licensing course. Whether you choose their standard or premium packages, you will still get the education you need to learn what to do to pass the North Carolina real estate license exam.
Cons:
No Full Course Guarantee
The one thing I wish that The CE Shop offered is a full course guarantee. Online schools such as Real Estate Express offer a reimbursement for the cost of the course if you do not pass the state exam but The CE Shop does not offer this. Unfortunately Real Estate Express is not available in North Carolina.
3. Kaplan RE
Third Best Online North Carolina Real Estate Schools
Next on my list of North Carolina online real estate schools is Kaplan. I have added these next schools to this list because truly, there are very few good online real estate schools that offer North Carolina pre-licensing courses online. These 5 on this list are really the only ones I would consider.
Pros:
Good North Carolina Exam Prep
The only real strength of Kaplan’s North Carolina course is that they offer good North Carolina exam prep. With their practice drills and Qbank, this should fully prepare you for the North Carolina licensing exam.
Complete 75-Hour North Carolina Course
Like all of the online real estate schools in North Carolina listed here, Kaplan’s course also covers all of the 75 hours of education needed to satisfy the North Carolina state requirements. (See inside in my in-depth Kaplan review.)
North Carolina Interactive Groups
If you like interaction with other students and North Carolina instructors, these interactive study groups will allow you to do just that. This is all done virtually at specified times each week.
Cons:
Higher North Carolina Pricing
In almost every state Kaplan tends to have higher pricing and North Carolina is no exception. They’re pricing for their North Carolina pre-licensing courses is on the higher side compared to the other comparable North Carolina schools.
4. Superior School of Real Estate
Fourth Best Online North Carolina Real Estate Schools
Since 2005 the Superior School of Real Estate has been helping students get their real estate license in North Carolina. In fact, they have served over 2 million students since their founding. I added them to my list of best online North Carolina real estate schools because they are run by the same company that owns Real Estate Express so they are a very reputable online school.
Pros:
Full North Carolina Curriculum
The Superior School of Real Estate offers the complete 75 hours of mandatory curriculum as specified by the North Carolina Real Estate Commission. You will get what you need to prepare yourself for the North Carolina state exam.
Partnered With Real Estate Express
This online North Carolina real estate school is in partnership with the same company that owns Real Estate Express. This means they’re backed by an industry leader and you can be assured they will stand behind their educational standards.
Only Targeted To North Carolina
The Superior School of Real Estate is only available for North Carolina students. They are only focused on one giving them unique insight into the North Carolina real estate market.
16 Experienced Instructors
If you want North Carolina instructors that have a lengthy track record in the North Carolina market, this online school has them. With 16 highly qualified instructors, you can be assured that they have in-depth knowledge of the North Carolina real estate market.
Cons:
Only One North Carolina Option
Unlike The CE Shop which gives you many package options, Superior School of Real Estate does not offer this. They have only one package choice which does not allow you to customize your North Carolina real estate education should you want to.
No North Carolina Course Guarantee
If you have read any of my other reviews, you would know I like guarantees. Unfortunately, this North Carolina real estate school does not offer any type of passing guarantee.
5. Real Estate U
The Real Estate U North Carolina online real estate school is included here mainly because they have a good price. It’s not my favorite course option but I have to add them since there are so few good options in North Carolina. See my Real Estate U review for more info.
Pros:
Good Pricing On North Carolina Course
Real Estate U is on this list because they’re pricing is the best of all North Carolina real estate schools. If your budget is the only concern, this school may be a choice for you. However, it’s definitely not the best North Carolina real estate school on our list. I would spend a bit more and use a real estate school that offers more in terms of exam prep and instructor support.
The Full 75 Hours Of Education
This North Carolina school’s course does fulfill the full 75 hours of content that is required by the state.
Cons:
Course Is Audio Based
If you’re looking for a completely audio based North Carolina real estate course this may be for you. The downside to this is that since it’s only audio based, you have no other types of course materials to help you get ready for the North Carolina state exam.
Little Interaction
Since this is an audio based course, basically, you read or listen to the text being read. There is very little interaction with other forms of content such as videos, interactive quizzes or instructors.
No Extra Exam Prep
Having the benefit of getting practice tests and exam prep is crucial to getting ready to pass the North Carolina state licensing exam. However, Real Estate U does not have much in the way of extra exam prep. You can pay extra and get North Carolina exam prep but it’s not included with the pre-licensing course. This is a budget based course through and through.
6. Go School of Real Estate
I have added the Go School of Real Estate to my list because as stated above, it’s hard to find good real estate schools in North Carolina. This online real estate school is not really a self-paced online school and I will explain more below.
Pros:
Full North Carolina Course
Go School of Real Estate has pre-licensing course options that cover all of the required 75 hours of content needed to meet the requirements of the North Carolina commission.
Good Student Reviews
This North Carolina school has good feedback from former students. This is an indication that overall, their school does provide a solid education.
Fast Response Times
I sent a question to Go School of Real Estate and their response times were very good. It’s always good when you can actually contact someone should you need help.
Cons:
Not A True Self-Paced North Carolina Course
The problem with Go School of Real Estate is that their North Carolina pre-licensing course is not a self-paced online course. Yes, the classes are held online but they’re done through Zoom. This means you must be on the schedule they set up and must meet with instructors at certain times. It’s basically a virtual class. This means this school does not offer a truly an online self-paced course as The CE Shop above. If you want to get your education and have the freedom to do it on your own schedule, this is not the school for you.
