1. Real Estate Express

Number One Best Online Real Estate Schools In Iowa

The first option on my list of best online real estate schools in Iowa is Real Estate Express. Given its dependability and reputation, it can be a great option for new agents. While Real Estate Express offers courses in multiple states, their Iowa-based program is especially useful! Though the pros far outweigh the cons, it’s important to discuss both to make a well-rounded decision. (Take a closer look at this Iowa real estate school in my extensive Real Estate Express review.)

Pros

Multiple Iowa Packages

Schools that offer more than one choice are always a plus in my book. Luckily, the Iowa Real Estate Express offers four different packages ranging in price and features. I love schools that offer multiple options for students so that they can choose what works best for them. Whether you’re just interested in the basics or need the ultimate package, Real Estate Express’ has got you covered.

Nationally Accredited Iowa School

You can study easily knowing that the Iowa Real Estate Express is accredited by national organizations responsible for ensuring high quality. ARELLO and the IDECC have both approved Real Estate Express’ pre-licensing coursework.

High Iowan Student Reviews

The Iowa Real Estate Express currently rates a 4.34 out of 5 stars. With hundreds of reviews and the majority of them being positive, you can expect this Iowa school to provide the quality education you’re looking for.

An Iowa Real Estate Exam Pass Guarantee

Every level aside from the basic one gives students a pass or don’t pay guarantee. This means that you will have a safety net should anything go wrong with the testing or outcome of the course.

Cons

Does Not Offer All Curriculum

Iowa has a unique requirement for students to complete 60 hours of pre-licensing coursework prior to working on the second portion of courses. Not particularly classified as continuing education, but more so the next level, it will need to be completed prior to licensing. Unfortunately, the Iowa Real Estate Express only offers the first portion of pre-licensing coursework but not the extended 36 hours required. This means you will need to find another school for the second educational requirement.

2. Kaplan

3

Second Best Online Iowa Real Estate Schools

For the next choice on my list of real estate schools in Iowa, I’ve chosen Kaplan. Kaplan offers a real estate education in an affordable and engaging format. Not only does it promise to exceed Iowa state guidelines for obtaining your license, but it nurtures each student’s time at the school to ensure better agents enter the market. Though not my first choice, I still consider Kaplan to be a great option for your online Iowa real estate school. Learn more about Kaplan in my Kaplan review.

Pros

Affordable Iowa Real Estate Package

Ranging in price from $369 for the basics all the way up to $699 for a deluxe “career launcher” package, I’m pleased with the pricing model at Kaplan Iowa. Comparing these figures to similar Iowa schools, these low-end is a relatively affordable option for those simply looking for the basics.

Real Estate Commission Approval

One of the most important aspects of any respectable school is the stamp of approval from organizations that maintain quality. When it comes to this online Iowa real estate school, the Real Estate Commission approves the institution’s teachings.

Flexible Online Iowa Coursework

Available 24/7 and accessible at your own pace, this school is great for those that require a bit of flexibility. Additionally, since it’s online you’re able to work from home without unnecessary commutes or uncomfortable classroom settings. When you stop or pause during the coursework, your progress will be saved as you go.

Great Iowa Real Estate School Reviews

Of nearly one thousand reviews on Trustpilot, the overwhelming majority are advocates of the Iowa Kaplan real estate course. Frequent praise is given to the course’s intuitive layout, easy-to-follow work, and abundance of information related to a career as a real estate agent.

Large Iowa Law and Regulation Class Portfolio

Aside from the explicitly required coursework by the Iowa government, students are free to pick their general coursework so long as it fills the required hours. Choices range in specification and prices if you’re stitching together your course load manually. Options include buying on a budget, helping older populations to avoid being scammed, cost-effective home improvement, and down payment options!

Cons

Shorter Iowa Completion Window

This may not be an issue if you’re planning to complete your pre-licensing coursework immediately, but for those requiring any sort of flexibility or who want a cushion in case something goes wrong, may not appreciate the six-month time frame for completing coursework.

3. Mbition

3

Third Best Online Iowa Real Estate Schools

Last on my list of best online real estate schools in Iowa is Mbition. Though the last in this ranking, Mbition is still a great choice for any potential agent looking to complete their pre-licensing coursework. There are a few reasons that Mbition makes the list, but the primary draw here is it’s Iowa state compliance and excellent customer service and support. My Mbition review will reveal more.

Pros

Online Bookstore to Prepare Future Iowan Agents

One of the unique options Mbition features is an online bookstore that can be added to your cart while checking out with your coursework. This is a great addition to your studies to help with preparing you to become the best agent possible. With everything in one place, it’s efficient and convenient to find both federal and Iowa-specific materials.

An Iowa Real Estate Exam Pass Guarantee

Every package, aside from the basic one, offers a pass guarantee. Though not every school includes a guarantee like this, I am always a fan of the ones that do, even if just the second and third tier package offerings. The peace of mind that comes with an extra chance or test credit can relieve much stress on test day, so much so that you may not even need the retake!

Multiple Iowa Package Levels

Mbition offers multiple packages for students, which is always great to ensure the student gets as customized of an education as possible. In addition to the packages, Mbition also offers a stripped-down version of required coursework (only the written materials, no extras) for $254.15 at the time of writing this. The most basic package, the silver, features the coursework, instructor math and technical support. From there, the packages continue to scale with more benefits.

Cons

Lack of interaction

With so many online real estate schools in Iowa offering interaction for students, it’s unfortunate that this strictly online Iowa real estate school does not provide much room for peer support. Instead, students can expect to lead themselves through the coursework, which may work for some, but not others that thrive on collaboration and feedback.
